Fulbright Finland News Features Project Support Awardee

In Fulbright Finlandโ€™s June Fulbright Finland News magazine, Roth-Thomson awardee, Megan Thiede, describes her recent experiences on her Fulbright and Lois Roth grant:

“With support from the Roth-Thomson Award, I traveled to Estonia for the Global Service Design Day, and France to participate in challenge-based learning focused on mobility. Additionally, I attended the Urban Future Conference in ลรณdลบ, Poland, where I was exposed to urban design success stories and digital innovations, including case studies from my home city of Tampere.โ€

Megan hopes to use these learning experiences to inform her research project to optimize the job application service lifecycle for individuals with cognitive and visual impairments.

ย โ€œAs my Fulbright project and masterโ€™s thesis continue to evolve in parallel with my studies, I am incredibly grateful to the Lois Roth Foundation for enabling these formative learning experiences. Each of these opportunities has deepened my understanding of accessibility, digitalization, and service design in diverse contexts, while also giving me the chance to connect with educators and designers committed to building more inclusive environments,โ€ย
